Protecting Online Stores and Payment Pages in Saudi Arabia

    In three lines

    • Attacks on stores are commercial, not ideological.
    • A few lines of JavaScript injected into the checkout copy card details as the customer types.
    • Fraudsters register a domain one character away from yours, clone the store and advertise it.

Attacks on stores are commercial, not ideological. The attacker wants card data, account access or your customers' trust in your domain — and the cheapest path to all three is a store nobody is maintaining.

    Card skimming scripts

A few lines of JavaScript injected into the checkout copy card details as the customer types. The store keeps working perfectly, which is why it can run for months. File integrity monitoring and a strict content security policy catch it.

    • Content Security Policy limiting script sources
    • File integrity monitoring on the checkout
    • Multi-factor authentication for every admin
    • Patching on a schedule, not on discovery

    Lookalike domains

Fraudsters register a domain one character away from yours, clone the store and advertise it. Monitoring for lookalikes and registering the obvious variants yourself is cheaper than explaining to customers why they paid a stranger.

Admin access is the real crown jewel

One reused password on an admin account undoes every other control. Enforce multi-factor authentication, remove staff accounts the day they leave, and keep a log of who changed what.

    The practical takeaway

Patch on a schedule, lock the admin panel with MFA, watch the checkout for changes, and monitor for lookalike domains.
